The IDEFIX rover has arrived in Japan from Europe, and officially handed over to JAXA to join the MMX spacecraft on the journey to Phobos!
The 8th System Design Meeting (SDM) was held on January 23rd and 24th with MMX Project Members in Japan and overseas joining either in person at the JAXA Sagamihara Campus, or connecting to the meeting online.
Every year, the JAXA Sagamihara Campus in Kanagawa welcomes visitors for a special open day, either to the campus itself or online. This was the first time in four years that MMX has held an in-person exhibit!
We conducted a RF (Radio Frequency) Compatibility Test at Peraton for the NASA DSN.
The 67th Space Science and Technology Association Conference was held in October, with an organised session dedicated to MMX.

From July to September 2023, an initial function test of the solar array panel (SAP) that will be installed on the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) spacecraft was conducted at Mitsubishi Electric Kamakura Works.
On August 10, 2023, the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) conducted a Pre-Shipment Review (PSR) for MEGANE, one of the observation instruments onboard the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) spacecraft.
